Shain's Biography

Shain's love of the visual arts began when she was just a small child and has since developed
into a lifelong passion. Her sense of composition is only part of the passion that
has transcended into extraordinary talent.

Early on she watched her father shutter away making pictures
of family, landscapes and life in general. She was fascinated when,
at age seven, a whole new world opened up to her as wide as the
aperture could. She received her first camera and almost before she
could thank her dad, she was out not only snapping her first shots,
but studying the art and craft of photography.

Obviously visually inclined, Shain studied the visual arts in high school and several colleges,
earning not only her degree, but numerous awards and honors for her steadily improving eye
and visual sense. Being published in national photography volumes and periodicals and
winning the annual "Tools for Success" top honors were accomplishments for sure, but Shain
“pictured" even more in her mind's eye...

Shain's continuously growing interest, enthusiasm and increasing accomplishments in the
Graphics Arts has now included the digital domain of design and creativity to her kit bag.
Using skills in both photography and graphic design, she has created CD's and related
artwork for top regional musicians and entertainment acts as well as become a storyboard
artist for the advertising industry.

But Shain's true love will always be in taking her own photos and presenting them in her
own creative way. She is always looking at the world's simplest, sensitive and most
beautiful images in the form of capturing and preserving them in her photographs.
A traveling enthusiast, Shain always carries her camera close by her side; from Harley rides
to camping in the northwoods she is always on the lookout for capturing that moment
which will bring a feeling of emotion to her viewing public.
